Blackberry curve flashing a purple light?

Sounds like a phone app is on your phone. Click options, and look for anything like BeBuzz or BerryBuzz...the go into it and change the color of the missed call alert and incoming call to what color you want. Also look in your message folder or you may have a voice mail.
