How can I take gloss off my bathroom walls??

First get rid of the mold with bleach or muriatic acid I would recommend the first!! Then once that is gone you can use a sanding block and semi aggressive sandpaper porbably 120 grit or so! then I would prime it with killz a couple coats ,then you can do your patch work and paint!!
