I need help finding some good manga!?

So far, I read Fullmetal Alchemist and Ouran High School Host Club because I'm scared to buy anything else! I will only read shojo and exceptionally good shonen (like FMA). I like anything that's either really funny or really sad, and no sappy love stories. Based on the two I already read, can y'all suggest something? Oh, and the only bookstores near me that supply manga is Books A Million and Planet Comics. Keep that in mind. And yes, I will read yaoi (my friend got me into it). But make sure the guys in the yaoi don't look like women because then, what would be the point of reading it? ;)
