I am curious is God real?

This question i am kind of curious abut and i am thinking if god is real why are there other gods that have come before him? Also if that if god is real why not Santa clause or Bigfoot or dragons? I am not trying to offend anyone's religion but i am just curious to know if there is one god or many? plus Why does bad things happen to good people? why would god do that to other people? I was wondering what is your opinion.
